Mykola Tomenko: the Parliament will listen to the report of the Temporary Inquiry Panel concerning control of activities of the National Bank of Ukraine within a week
"The participants of the conciliative council resolved that within the current plenary week the Parliament would listen to the report of the Temporary Inquiry Panel concerning control of the activities of the National Bank of Ukraine under the conditions of the financial crisis", - stated Mykola Tomenko, Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
He stated that the said issue would most probably be considered on Wednesday. "However, everything will depend on the willingness of the Temporary Inquiry Panel to render relevant information", - stated the Vice-Chairman.
The Temporary Inquiry Panel should present the list of all banks that received refinancing from the National Bank of Ukraine, and inform about the criteria of such refinancing and guarantees of the repayment of funds.
"This information is of great importance. It is not a secret, since these funds belong to t5he International Monetary Fund and should be repaid by the whole country. In fact, it is a matter of use of budget funds, therefore, the society should know to whom the services concerning refinancing were rendered and on which conditions", - stated Mykola Tomenko.
